Tatting done in the hoop! This is easy for you to stitchout and have free-standing tatting. Complete instructions included. I had lots of requests for free-standing tatting. So here they are! The tatting is smaller and delicate looking so it will work great for children's clothes or doll clothing.
AND I also have an oval done with the free-standing tatting edge.
Ask if you are not sure if the designs will fit your hoop size.

Free-standing tatting
designs done in the hoop! As you can see, the tatting edges are all free standing so you can put them in your projects like I did on my pillowcase. The small piece is what I had left over after I made my pillowcase with the free-standing Oval Tatting designs. VERY EASY! |

I couldn't decide if I
wanted to put the oval on a terry hand towel or on a fine 100% linen
hand towel. Although it is beautiful on either, I chose the linen
towel since there is a nice contrast for the tatting edge to show. |

I stitched the oval onto the towel with invisible thread. You can see that the tatting edge is not stitched down. |

Here is the back of the towel. Not everyone likes to see the back of work! But in this picture you can see that I stitched around the OUTSIDE of the oval along the tatting picots and left the tatting stitches so that they are floating on the fabric surface. It might be a bit hard to see but click on the picture to get a bigger view of it. |

This shows how the
tatting looks after I rinsed out the water-soluble stabilizer.
This is several sections. I include alignment so you can make the
tatting as long as you want. Instructions are included with the
designs. I used rayon thread. It is very soft and easy to work with. |

This is the tatting that I used for the pillowcase edge. If you look at the larger picture, you can see where I had not trimmed the thread tails at the sections. Of course, I trimmed them before I put it in as the trim of the case. |
