Tatting designs done in the machine embroidery hoop! I have these done 2 different ways. The top pictures show a doily for the 180 mm wide hoops (including 8x8 inch). This is easy for you to stitch out on your fabric. The tatting edges are completely free standing. The second way is an edge for your project. They are available for all hoop sizes. The bottom picture (above) shows the edge I made on a linen towel. These designs have a finished end and are not meant to line up with each other. These designs use regular weight embroidery thread. Fits all hoops 4x4 inch (100x100 mm) and larger. Ask if you are not sure if they will fit your hoop size. |

I love the Mardi Gras.
I didn't get to go (again) this year but I am celebrating! Stop by

I forgot to put my Mardi Gras beads in this picture but I'll have them
on this Tuesday - Mardi Gras day. I made a card on some Mulberry paper. I stitched the tatting edge right onto the paper. Then I trimmed away the extra paper to make it just the right size. I used the 5x7 inch (130x180 mm) size of the designs in this set for the free-standing tatting edge on my card. A closer look at the edge
of one of the doilies. They have a scalloped edge. I call
these tatting designs "Up and Down" tatting. This looks like it
should be hard but it really isn't. I include instructions so you
can do these just like my pictures. I used a light-weight quilting cotton fabric. |

I include the lovely
cross stitch design with the doily. Here is a close up of the
cross stitch. The doily is made for the 180 mm wide hoop sizes.
If you have a hoop that is 180 mm or wider, you can stitch this design!
Works for the larger Brother/Babylock machines, Janome 11000, or any 180
mm wide or 8x8 inch hoops. This is a beautiful, glittery Fairy Frost quilting fabric. Complete instructions included. |

You can stitch these tatting designs right onto your fabric. I stitched this one directly onto my fabric. I have the "bonnet" girl design for you too! She is ready for the Easter Parade!
I stitched the 4x4 inch (100 x 100 mm) size of the tatting for this one.
When you stitch the tatting directly onto your fabric (or card) as I did here, (rather than having it free-standing) it works best if you use a regular bobbin thread. When you stitch the tatting as free standing, you use the same thread in the bobbin so it looks great on both the top and the bottom.
