Completely free-standing tatting heart and matching earring designs done in the machine embroidery hoop! I used a regular weight (40 wt.) embroidery thread for all designs shown in this set. Plus I made the same heart with 60 weight thread.
Click for a larger view.	I made a card with my free-standing tatting heart. I used the included template to cut out a heart shape in my Mulberry paper card. I have some velum for the card inside. I used Elmer's School Glue to attach the tatting round the outside of the heart shape. I also glued on some tiny glass seed beads. It was easy to make. And it looks beautiful too. Click for a larger view.	You can see my fingers behind the heart cutout and the tatting that is attached over the opening. These all fit in a 4x4 inch (100x100 mm) hoop so everyone can do these. VERY EASY! I used a 40-weight polyester thread. Instructions included.
Click for a larger view.	I stitched the free-standing tatting heart with a finer thread too. I really like how it turned out. I used a 60-weight Madeira rayon for this one. It is sort of pale in the picture. It is very delicate. You can use either a regular 40-weight embroidery thread or a finer thread for these designs. Complete instructions included.
Click for a larger view.	I lightly attached the center of this heart to my card so that it can be removed later and used on a garment or as a memento. You can slip one inside your card. They are so easy to do! Just stitch, rinse and let dry flat.
Click for a larger view.	These tatting designs are a new technique for me. They are sort of like Celtic knots. Some of the chains go over the top of other chains. I really like the results! I'm holding the free-standing tatted heart before I added it to the card. This is so easy for you to do! Just stitch on wash away stabilizer (use the same thread top & in the bobbin), rinse and let dry flat. That is all there is to it to make these designs! VERY EASY! Complete instructions included.
Click for a larger view.	I always get lots of requests for tatting jewelry done in the embroidery machine. So I made these earrings to go with the tatting heart. I have 3 different styles. One is long and airy, one is a cross and one is a teeny, tiny earring. All of them are completely free-standing tatting. You can add crystals like I did if you want. Or you can just leave them plain. I stitched the cross with metallic thread but you can use regular thread if you want. Please send me pictures of how you embellished these designs. VERY EASY! Complete instructions included.
